Ivy Nesson OggIvy was diagnosed with stage IV Ovarian Cancer in June of 1996. It was not only Ivy that bore the burden of cancer but an entire community of loved ones. Her diagnosis was far from unique but the way in which she dealt with her cancer and said goodbye certainly was. Ivy was above all a communicator. Ivy was still alive when her family decided to create this space in her honor along with The Ivy Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for ovarian cancer awareness. She left behind her a legacy of generosity and her wishes to share information and provide support to others.
It is our hope that Ivy's story, and the stories of others who have dealt with ovarian cancer, will help and inspire you. Thank you for visiting Ivy's Place. ...Ivy smiles at you. We are not only looking for stories about ovarian cancer. In addition to stories about illness, recovery, and loss, we are particularly interested in the stories of women's lives. We would like to put a face on this disease. Every woman has a story, and that story should be shared. We would like to create a home for your stories at Ivy's Place. Email: Courtney Ogg-Mancuso |
